GiantSky launches website and blog for The Independent Hotel Philadelphia - a boutique center city hotel at www.theindependenthotel.com

GiantSky is honored to launch the website for The Independent Hotel Philadelphia at www.theindependenthotel.com.

The Independent is a 24-room boutique hotel located in a fully restored Georgian-Revival building located at 1234 Locust Street in the vibrant Midtown Village area of Center City, Philadelphia. Now listed on the National Register of Historic Places, The Independent received an extensive renovation before opening its doors to discerning tourists and business travelers in June 2008.

GiantSky was selected by the Hersha Group to build a unique web presence that would create a high end and comfortable feel for its guests and the public.  We combined moulin and French cirque styles to develop a full flash website combined with a hotel blog to bring the Independent Hotel website website to life.  Over time, cute and quirky animations will decorate the site subtly, and give the visitors a feel of the comfort and ambiance the hotel has to offer.  GiantSky also presented the opportunity of a 30 foot mural to local artists to bring a dramatic lightwell in the hotel to life.  After carefully choosing amongst a fine selection of Philadelphia muralists, we selected Kim Senior (www.kimsenior.com) to bring her creative touch to the unique architecture.  The Independent mural was created.

GiantSky has created a blog for The Independent Hotel Philadelphia at www.theindependenthotel.com/philadelphia.  This blog provides the hotel with an invaluable tool to bring the best of local Philadelphia to its guests, and the public.  The Independent Hotel Blog also provides resources for tourists and guests to seek theatre shows or to plan their tours.

GiantSky Launches VerdoniImports.com - the website of a leading Italian and Argentine Wine Importer

We are simply thrilled to announce the launch of www.verdoniimports.com, the website for Verdoni Imports and HeyDay Corporation, a leading wine importer here in the US.  Verdoni Imports has one of the most extensive collections of Italian wines, and the website serves two main purposes:  to educate the public on Italian, Argentine and other wines, their regions and producers, and secondly, to provide distributors around the US with access to wine information.  The Verdoni Imports website also serves as a wonderful and informative presence for producers in Italy, Argentina and California, where the public can learn much about the art of making wines specific to regions and growers.

Verdoni Imports’ wine database is built on an extensive Content Management System that allows the client to manage the wines they offer as they grow.  Virtually every part of the Verdoni site is CMS driven, and that provides Verdoni with the flexibility to educate and inform their visitors.  The system allows streaming of video and audio content, and even perhaps a virtual wine tasting session someday!

The Simeone Foundation Museum is one of the world’s best collections of racing sports cars, many of which have won some of the most distinguished races of the 20th century.   More than just an exhibit for classic racing cars, the museum seeks to educate the public and the education community on the how competition in car racing resulted in some of the most important innovations in the automobile.  The Museum’s motto is “Celebrating the Spirit of Competition.”

The Simeone Foundation Museum in Philadelphia hosts one of the world’s greatest collections of Racing Sports Cars.  The museum is scheduled to open in July 2008, and is located near the Philadelphia International Airport, about 15 minutes from Center City Philadelphia.  The museum celebrates the spirit of innovation through automobile racing achievements.

The museum of racing Sports cars will exhibit over 60 of the worlds greatest automobiles that raced in the Cross Counrty Endurance Racing, Pre -World War 1 Racing, Arca, Watkins Glen, Bonneville Salt Flats, , Brooklands, Timed Trials, Hill Climb, Targa Florio, Mille Miglia, Refueling Mule, Sebring, Le Mans, Americans At Lemans, and The Winner’s Circle.  From Bugatti, to Alfa Romeo, and Ford GTs, the exhibit is rich with amazing automobiles.
